Melatonin is a potent free radical scavenger naturally produced in the pineal gland and present in high amounts in the gastrointestinal tract. It is involved in many of the body, brain and glandular biological functions including regulation of normal sleep/wake cycles, regulation of the immune system and maintenance of a healthy gastrointestinal lining.
Melatonin supplements are often used to help improve sleep, particularly for people who have trouble falling asleep or have disrupted sleep patterns. It can be particularly helpful for individuals who experience jet lag or work night shifts, as it helps adjust the sleep-wake cycle to the desired timing.
It’s important to note that melatonin is not a sedative, and it doesn’t directly induce sleep. Instead, it helps regulate your body’s internal clock, making it easier to initiate and maintain a regular sleep pattern.
Suggested use
Take 1 capsule near bedtime with water.

Microcrystalline Cellulose, Hypromellose (cellulose capsule) and Stearic Acid (vegetable source).

Warnings
For adults only at bedtime. Not for pregnant or nursing women. May cause drowsiness. Do not use in conjunction with alcoholic beverages, when driving a vehicle, or while operating machinery. This worked best on nights when I was already a bit tired. On high-stress days, it didn’t do much. Good for light sleep support, not a knockout.

This doesn’t knock you out like a sleeping pill. It gently nudges you to sleep. I take it 30 mins before bed while reading. My sleep hygiene feels so much better.
